OUR MISSION

To develop, engage and recognize
exceptional leaders who
champion the American Idea

Who was Jack Kemp?

A professional quarterback who learned the value of leadership, teamwork, equality and competition; a leader in Congress who knew the power of ideas, human capital, and opportunity; and a Secretary of Housing and Republican Vice Presidential candidate who spoke passionately of the power of free markets and free people, and the history yet to be written of the free world.

The Jack Kemp Foundation was originally created to preserve and provide access to Jack Kemp’s extensive collection of writings and correspondence as Congressman, Cabinet Secretary, and Vice Presidential candidate, originally under the custodianship of Pepperdine University.

WHO WE ARE

Kemp Forum

The Kemp Forum is a workshop for ideas. Based on the belief that ideas, like athletes, become sharper through competition, Kemp Forum events span economic growth, opportunity and upward mobility, and America’s leadership in the world.

It has been said that Jack Kemp (1935-2009) was the most influential U.S. politician of the 20th Century who never was President.  His unshakeable faith that there were no limits to what free men and women could accomplish inspired people from all walks of life.  He called this the American Idea.
